Our Chocolate Cafes are where the efforts of all our teams come together for our ultimate purpose – selling to our customers. This is where it all happens! The success of everyone working behind the scenes is dependent on the very people that serve our customers.

Our Chocolate Café teams consist of Chocolate Café Managers, Assistant Chocolate Café Managers, Café Supervisors and Café Team Members. Because our teams are relatively small, we all work together across a variety of tasks.  

Our main purpose is to provide excellent guest services while creating a memorable experience for customers.  All positions play an important role in building rapport and leaving long-lasting positive impressions with our customers.

Our Team Members are the people in our Chocolate Bars who are truly bringing Max Brenner’s chocolate revolution to life. They are the face of Max Brenner and of the Max Brenner brand every day in our stores.

A Day in the Life at Max Brenner

Here is a snapshot of each role that we currently recruit for at Max Brenner:

Chocolate Café Manager

The Chocolate Café Manager position will drive, create and consistently maintain the Max customer service standards while ensuring customers receive exception and memorable service. In addition, the role is responsible for people management and engagement, sales and profit growth, operational efficiency and workplace health and safety compliance. The role is also responsible for leading and driving our Max Brenner Values.
Assistant Chocolate Café Manager

The Assistant Chocolate Café Manager position will work with the Chocolate Café Manager to drive, create and consistently maintain the Max customer service standards while ensuring customers receive exception and memorable service. In addition, the role will work with the Chocolate Café Manager to manage people management and engagement, sales and profit growth, operational efficiency and workplace health and safety compliance. The role is also responsible for leading and driving our Max Brenner Values.
Café Supervisor

The Café Supervisor position will be responsible for the effective and efficient daily shift operations of their Chocolate Café. This position is also responsible for delivering the highest possible standards of service, whilst being proactive in maintaining and/or improving Chocolate Cafe sales and profitability. The role is also responsible for leading and driving our Max Brenner Values.
Café Team Member

The Café Team Member positions are responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, serving and cleaning tables. They may also need to handle customer complaints and special requirements. The role is also responsible for delivering on our Max Brenner Values.
Support Office Roles
The Max Brenner Support Office consists of various departments/teams. These departments/teams provide our Chocolate Cafes with support and assistance and all areas of support play a pivotal role in supporting overall business operations.
Support Office roles include:
- Operations/Area & State Managers
- Warehouse / Supply Chain
- Marketing / Innovation
- Human Resources / Recruitment / Learning and Development
